There are more than 20 car hire companies at Malaga Airport, but only a few of them are located inside the airport terminal. This guide explains everything you need to know about the companies, where they’re located, pick-up points, prices, and more.
More than 20 car rental companies operate in and around Malaga Airport. If you have decided to hire a car using one of the companies located inside the airport building, you’ll need to find their desk when you arrive. The desks for the car hire companies based inside the Airport building are usually either downstairs by the baggage carousels or upstairs by carousel 31.
Once you have found your car hire company, be sure you have all the necessary documents, including your driving license. You will be surprised how many people forget to bring this. You may also need a DVLA Code if you’re from the UK. In high season, expect to queue, it can get very busy. Once you have picked up your keys, a member of staff will inform you on which level of the car park and bay you can find your car. Both car parks are connected to Terminal 3 through the transportation hub.
We also provide information on Minibus Hire, Driving Directions from Malaga Airport, and How to Get your DVLA Code.
For picking up a hire car, the car parks are on floors 0 and -1 of the P2 Car Park. One you’ve met your car hire rep up at the desk up in Arrivals, they’ll explain how to pick up your car. For returning a hire car, the companies have parking on floors -1 and -2 of the P1 car park. When returning a vehicle, as you approach Malaga Airport, drive a little slower to avoid any mistakes. Be careful, as the the airport ramp lanes on the right will take you up to the Departures area, but to reach the car hire drop-off you must take the lanes on the left. Then just follow the signs for Car Hire / Alquiler de Coches. Each car hire company has a key drop-off desk in the car park, so you don’t have to return the keys to their office inside the terminal building.
